Why singing?
Hearing is one of the earliest senses to develop in the womb. Your baby has been listening to your voice since week 23 of your pregnancy. Singing to your baby creates a connection and a reassurance that you are present for your little one.

Songs as signals
I will teach you short songs to use throughout the day to let your baby know what is about to happen next. For example, if you sing the "Into the bath" song as you run the bath each day, then your baby will begin to recognise what is about to happen. Communicating intentions and events, even at an early age can lessen anxiety in babies and ensure smooth transitions between activities.

Traditional songs
There are so many traditional children's songs that have been handed down through generations. We will include a sprinkling of these to keep these songs alive in our culture.

Mama's choice!
There are so many lovely ballads that are enjoyable to sing and can happily double as lullabies for your baby. Let's try something like Adele's 'Make you feel my love'? Together we'll work on improving your breathing and singing technique. There are so many benefits for both your physical and mental wellbeing to be gained from singing and research shows that singing in a group magnify the effects.
